Dear Friends of Saint Catharine of Siena School,
Welcome to the “hidden treasure” worth seeking. For the past seventy-five years Saint Catharine of Siena School has been educating children through a solid academic program and nurturing their faith life through religious instruction and a supportive community. We are excited to be a part of the celebration this year marking this wonderful milestone.
Our new website will give a glimpse of all the good things happening at SCS. Our dedicated IHM Sisters and lay teachers utilize a variety of instructional strategies to enable students to reach their full potential. Starting with pre-kindergarten through eighth grade, the children follow a sequential academic program that follows the curriculum guidelines from the Diocese of Allentown. The school day begins and ends with prayer so that all our words and actions are centered in Christ, the Master Teacher.
Parents of our students are active in supporting SCS through the Home-School Organization, the School Advisory Board, the Strategic Planning Committee, and Marketing and Development Committee. Fund-raising and friend-raising provide financial stability and have enabled our enrollment to grow these past few years.
Saint Catharine of Siena School is accredited through the Middle States Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools. We are proud to announce that in 2011 the Visiting Committee recommended renewal of our accreditation status.
If you are a graduate of Saint Catharine of Siena School, we would love to hear from you. Please share your memories of your days as a student at SCS with us.
Thank you for visiting our webpage. If you are in the area, come for a tour and see us in action.
God bless you!
